The Winery
Rimon Winery combines the traditions of thousands of years of winemaking in the Holy Land with the most modern architecture, technology, and winemaking expertise. The winery sits on a basalt plateau nearly 3,000 feet above sea level, nestled in the heart of the Nachmias family’s pomegranate orchard.
The building itself has been crafted from local stone to blend into the timeless hills above the Sea of Galilee. Hidden behind the stone walls is a state-of-the art winemaking facility featuring special pomegranate separation and pressing equipment, stainless steel fermentation tanks, and a barrel room where the wines are aged in classic French oak barrels.
Named for the Hebrew word for pomegranate, the winery is the first to successfully produce fine wine made from 100% pomegranate — without added sugar.
Once visitors have enjoyed the spectacular setting, they may visit a chic wine shop offering special tastings of Rimon wines as well as a range of pomegranate-based products, including locally made cosmetic products and a special pomegranate jam made from a unique variety of pomegranate exclusively cultivated by the Nachmias family in the heart of Galilee.
The winery is open Sun-Thurs 9am-4pm, and Fridays 9am-3pm.
We would be happy to arrange private tours and tastings for you and your friends at the Rimon Winery.
